Officer Paul Balmer came to CPD from Largo PD in 2004 with previous experience in Virginia. He is a Chief Master-At-Arms, Anti-Terrorism Force Protection Expert (ATFP) in the United States Navy. He was originally mobilized in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in February 2008 for operations in Ramadi, Iraq. In July, 2008 he was diverted to Bagram Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He is currently working classified missions with Task Group Trident side by side the Army's 783rd and 715th MP Battalion/Company, Task Force Wolverine. He will be returning home to CPD and his family in June, 2009.

Officer Gabriel Nunez completed basic training and Officer Candidate School in Fort Benning, GA. He was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant as an Intelligence Officer and is currently on active duty stateside in training awaiting assignment as an All Source Intelligence Officer in support of the Global War on Terrorism in Iraq and Afghanistan. Officer Nunez will be promoted to 1st Lieutenant in February 2009.
